1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect the Personal Information you provide directly to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:
- names
- email addresses
Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.
Application Data. If you use our application(s), we also may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:
- Geolocation Data. Subject to your prior consent as provided through your device’s settings and in compliance with applicable law, we may collect precise geolocation information (e.g., GPS coordinates) continuously or while you use the application to enable location-based services. All geolocation data is processed only on your device; no raw location data ever reaches our servers. Should you elect to enable cloud backup, your geolocation data will be included only within an end-to-end encrypted backup container, which we store but cannot decrypt or otherwise access. You may revoke or modify geolocation permissions at any time via your device’s settings.
- Mobile Device Access. We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device's camera, storage, and other features. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.
- Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of the application(s). If you wish to opt out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device's settings.
This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our application(s), for troubleshooting, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Technical Logs and Essential Cookies
Our Services are hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. Firebase automatically records a minimal access‑log that contains your IP address, user‑agent string, request path, and timestamp. We cannot disable this safety feature. Logs are retained in Google Cloud Logging’s Default bucket for thirty (30) days and then permanently deleted.
Snow Haus does not deploy analytics, advertising, or cross‑site tracking cookies.

We process the personal information for the following purposes listed below. We may also process your information for other purposes only with your prior explicit consent.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

- To save or protect an individual's vital interest. We may process your information when necessary to save or protect an individual’s vital interest, such as to prevent harm.
3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (i.e., legal basis) to do so under applicable law, like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfill our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfill our legitimate business interests.
If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on in order to process your personal information. As such, we may rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:
- Consent. We may process your information if you have given us permission (i.e., consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

We may process your information where we believe it is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations, such as to cooperate with a law enforcement body or regulatory agency, exercise or defend our legal rights, or disclose your information as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
- Vital Interests. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of a third party, such as situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person.
If you are located in Canada, this section applies to you.

5. DO WE OFFER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED PRODUCTS?
In Short: We may offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence ("AI").
As part of our Services, we may offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies (collectively, "AI Products"). Our AI-driven features (e.g., image analysis, mood detection) utilize Apple's Core ML technology, which processes data strictly on-device. No personal data is transferred to us or any third party for these features.
How to Opt Out
You have full control over these features and may disable them at any time through the application's settings menu.
6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
7. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
8. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (in compliance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, "COPPA") or under 16 in the European Union (in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, "GDPR"), unless we have received verifiable parental consent.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the relevant minimum age without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under the applicable age limit, please contact us at privacy@snowhaus.studio.
9. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: Applicable privacy legislation may grant you rights—such as access, deletion, correction, or objection—that allow you to determine how we process your Personal Information.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) or the UK GDPR applies, you are entitled to:
- Access & Portability — obtain confirmation of whether we process Personal Information about you and, where we do, receive a copy in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format;
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information;

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, the privacy statute in your state affords you, at a minimum, the right to:

- Correction — request that we rectify inaccuracies in your Personal Information;

- Opt-Out — direct us not to process Personal Information for targeted advertising, “sales” or “sharing,” or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects;

Individuals in Canada, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions with omnibus data-protection frameworks may have analogous rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of their Personal Information.
You may exercise any right described in this Section by:
- emailing privacy@snowhaus.studio, or
- submitting a request through snowhaus.studio/data-request.
We will verify your identity using commercially reasonable methods and provide a substantive response within one (1) calendar month of successful verification, subject to lawful extensions. Should you find our response unsatisfactory, an internal appeal mechanism is available and will be described in our reply.
Withdrawal of Consent. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time through the same channels without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.
11. DO UNITED STATES RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you may have the right to request access to and receive details about the personal information we maintain about you and how we have processed it, correct inaccuracies, get a copy of, or delete your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law.
